I usuallylook to these kind of games to support indies and relax. This one raised my blood-pressure.. Probably the best match-3 game on steam+ Voice acting+ Story + Resolutions FOR PC! + No timers + Powerups and spells if you're "bad"It isn't a traditional match-3, where it's all about combos and getting the highest score. Instead of hitting X score, or collecting X red gems, It's about getting your character from A to B, and making matches clears the way. There are challenges to be had, like rocks that need to be cleared, monsters that need to be killed, etc.. Great addition to the M3 genre, many interesting mechanics, lots of levels, cute story and music. If you're stuck there are powers to use and those can be harvested on other levels if you happen to run out. Or make self-challenge to complete without them. After clearing can go back and try to make all levels to ***.. Another one of those games that fall right between 'recommend' and 'not recommend'. While $2.5 is still very cheap for such a long game (221 levels?!), it's also excrutiatingly slow, painful and unfunny after a while. Halfway through the game, you'll realize you gathered all of the achievements but 2, the stupid ones (number of matches made). The only way I was able to finish the game, was not because it presented a serious challenge (it did, but it still got really dull), but because after those first 100 levels I started using CE to give myself infinite bombs, wild tokens and, more importantly, a speed-up feature that makes the game several times faster. At this point it would have been a 'recommend' for me, but I can't expect everyone to be using CE to account for the game's limitations, so there we are.The graphics are cute, the music is alright, there are some very good 'puzzle' levels, but overall you rely too much on luck and retries to enjoy this in the long run. Maybe if you're planning to play it for years, I don't know... That'd explain why the hardest achievement (100.000 matches?!) is something like 5 to 10 times higher than the accumulated amount of allowed moves in the game. So it implies completing it many times, lol... What a silly achievement. If you're curious about how the story ends, I'm not even going to bother with spoiler tags: there's no 'end' to it. Master wizard gets abducted, kids save him in the following level, bad guy gets away with it, master wizard promotes them and sends them after bad guy... Nothing is explained about who the bad guy is, not that we care, I know. But 221 levels for a cliffhanger ending, followed by no game at all..? (This was originally released 6 years ago, so I'm pretty sure if the team was still together, Rescue Gold 2 would be on Steam by now...)Perhaps if you're willing to wait for a follow-up that's been 6 years in the making (hint: really, it's not coming), then I'm sure you can wait until the first one is in a bundle.. This might be the worst game I've bought. First of all, When I entered the game and changed resolution(1920x1080), the game just crashed for many times. After I get in the game progress hardly , just crash, And Guess what? When I changed language option, It crashed again. After I leaved the game and entered again, the option all be reset. And I tried get in several time, my profile is gone ......It barely can played in the game, even though deleted the game and download again...same problem. It seems I can run the game normally when I use the original resolution option(not very sure), but it hurt my eyes........ I've play so many games and Don't encounter the situation. It exceed the refund deadline, or I'll refund it to get back my money.. Hello , I've got the game if you want my impressions after 3 hours here it is :To begin with , we play as Boom or Zap , two magicians who want to rescue The Spritelings and save the world from an evil sorcerer . Well , I don't know if story is something important in games like this anyway. First thing we can notice is that the game is (was) designed for mobile use. But everything works fine with the mouse. The only thing I don't like with the mouse is the camera movement , this should be better on mobile. In terms of gameplay, this is a classic match-3 game just like may others. But unlike the others, this time clearing the the board won't be enough , you have to make a way through The Spritelings. That's what makes this game interesting and also challenging. The challenge like others match-3 games comes from the obvious limited moves, blocs that need several hit to be broken, ennemies and so on. In order to help you in your quest, you'll have access to some powers. From where I am, I unlocked 2 of them.Like I said , we're in front of a mobile game but what is really great is that we don't have the downsides of those games. I mean , there's no micro-transaction , you don't have to wait for lives. You can play whenever you want and that is pretty great. For now I've done 25 levels and some were already tough or maybe I'm just bad at these kind of games lol. However there's something that can be really annoying : music. I only heard one music so far. Finally, I'd like to say that this game is a good one, the fact that there's no mobile games ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t is a good point allowing players to play at their own pace.PS : Sorry for bad english !. Rescue quest is a match 3 game similar to a lot of other games. What it does different is that you have different goals and spells. The game is well done. The port from mobile is good, graphics are nice, overall quality is good if not great. For me this match 3 game has been very good. I like how much content it has. Lots of different spells, enemies, keys. There are more than enough levels and new content pops out pretty often.I do recommend this for 10€.. I'm very happy with this game. It has a lot of levels and is not free to play. You play as either Boom or Zap trying to free fairy spritelings. Not very overwhelming like other match-3 games so its quite fun and relaxing. Various stages have different monsters that even if they are "monsters", they are quite cute too. I do like the main villain's appearance. :D
